For the Blind Man in the Dark room Looking for the Black Cat that isn't There
Institute of Contemporary Art（簡稱ICA）最新的 For the Blind Man in the Dark room Looking for the Black Cat that isn't There是我最近很喜歡的展覽，這個有趣的展覽名稱來自達爾文對形而上學的嘲笑，他認為數學家對這個自然世界的解釋只是徒勞無功的抽象描述和理論。而對藝術家來說，他們試圖也想用理論的方式理解這個世界，因為他們的存在，我們可以體驗這種“無法理解“，因為藝術並不是一個待解開的密碼。對這個展覽的藝術家來說，為了慶祝這種“in the dark“的狀態，他們欲將藝術和解釋分開而擁抱好奇的精神。這個展覽內引用了許多哲學家或藝術家的有趣引言，如Bruse Nauman的"Artists don't solve problems, they invent new ones"(藝術家不解決問題，而是發明新的問題)或是Joseph Beuys的"Art isn't here to explain things"(藝術不是來解釋事情的)都可以巧妙的為這個展覽描述對世界困惑與好奇做註解。
推薦大家在看展的同時拿一本免費的brochure(旁邊雖然放著建議捐獻的盒子)，裡面有許多這個展覽的睿智引言，以及許多作家的reference,如Susan Sontag, Merleau-Ponty等，都為這個展覽在理論方面做了很好的補充。在藝術家方面，有著名的雕塑家Rachel Harrison,另外像David William發明的遊戲、Bruno Munari的裝置等我都非常喜歡！
