Gay Icons:National Portrait Gallery
近期在倫敦National Portrait Gallery展出的Gay Icons選出了十位最具代表性，或是在文化歷史脈絡中具有獨特代表性的同性戀者的肖像作為展出。這幾位被選出的指標人物（有可能是同性戀也有可能不是）都在同志文化圈中具有重要的影響力，也是促成同性戀者認同的關鍵人物，他們包括藝術家Francis Bacon、David Hockney。作家Daphne du Maurier和Quentin Crisp;作曲家Pyotr Tchaikovsky和Benjamin Britten;音樂家k.d. lang、the Village People和Will Young;藝人Ellen DeGeneres、Lily Savage和Kenneth Williams;運動選手Martina Navratilova和Ian Roberts及政治人物Harvey Milk和Angela Mason。他們的動人故事將被六十位攝影師捕捉，包括Andy Warhol、Lord Snowdon和Cecil Beaton及由Mary McCartney特別選出的作品。
